Mr. Kevin K.C. Chan, CFA
Mr. Kevin K.C. Chan, CFA, is an investment professional with more than 20 years' experience. He has worked for various financial institutions in Canada and in Hong Kong in the areas of investment management and corporate finance. Mr. Chan now works for a family office in Hong Kong responsible for making private equity investments. Mr. Chan is a director of the University of Toronto (Hong Kong) Foundation since its inception. Mr. Chan had been a director of the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts since its inception and was the President of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts Limited from 2000 to 2002. He also served the Advisory Committee on Human Resources Development in the Financial Services Sector in Hong Kong formed by the Hong Kong SAR government from 2000 to 2002 as well as the Global Council of the CFA Institute from 1999 to 2004.
 
Mr. Water C.W. Cheung, CFA
Mr. Water Cheung, CFA, has more than two decades of extensive experience in global investment banking. He is currently the Senior Partner and CEO, Asia Pacific, at StormHarbour Securities. StormHarbour is an independent merchant banking partnership with offices in New York, London, Lisbon, Madrid, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. The firm was awarded the Boutique Investment Bank of Year 2012, by the Banker Magazine, a subsidiary of Financial Times. It is the youngest firm to receive such distinction to date.

In 2007, Water joined The Royal Bank of Scotland as the Treasurer and Head of Emerging Markets in Asia. After RBS led a consortium to acquire ABN Amro Bank, Water headed up the integration of the two banks’ markets businesses in Asia which represents a total revenue of more than GBP1 billion.

Prior to that, in 2000, Water joined DBS as the Head of Regional Derivatives and Credit Products. Water grew the Bank’s derivative and bond business from a meager S$2mm business to more than S$500mm. During his seven-year stint in DBS, he had served a variety of positions including Head of Global Financial Markets, Greater China, which encompassed all investment banking products.

Between 1995 and 2000, Water was Managing Director in CIBC Financial Products, Singapore. Water successfully set up the derivative trading operation in Singapore and managed one of the most profitable trading teams for the Bank. Prior to that, Water was the Head of Derivative Trading - Asia Local Markets, for Chase Manhattan Bank. He was instrumental in the development of derivative market in the region, and was voted “Derivative Superstar” by Global Finance in 1994 and 1995 consecutively.

Water, a Hong Kong native started his investment banking career in Canada in 1987. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a MBA degree from the University of Toronto and York University, Canada, respectively.

Water is a regular columnist in the Hong Kong Economic Journal (信報), Apple Daily (蘋果日報) and Ming Pao (明報).

Water is also an Executive Board Member of Treasury Market Association (TMA), an industry body sponsored by Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).

Water is an active participant in the social enterprises community in Hong Kong and is a director in SVHK Capital Limited and Give Venture Partners Limited. In addition, Water is an active angel investor in the technology space.
 
Dr. Jimmy W.K. Jim, CFA
Joining in 2014, Dr. Jimmy Jim, CFA, is currently Co-Head of Global Markets Department of ICBC (Asia), leading a team of over 100 professionals. Jimmy has over 29 years of experience in banking and financial industry and was appointed senior positions with many leading international banks. He has worked across Hong Kong, Tokyo and Australia with extensive experience in trading and sales of precious metals, financial and debt capital market products, ALM and portfolio management.

Jimmy is a CFA charterholder and a CPA (Aust). He holds a Doctor Degree of Business Administration from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Master Degree of Applied Finance Degree from the Macquarie University and a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was the President of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts from 2010 to 2013.
 
Mr. George W. Long, CFA
Mr. George Long, CFA, is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of LIM Advisors Limited. Before he established LIM in 1995, George set up and ran the Asian division of what became Barclays Global Investors (BGI). While at Barclays, George served on the Executive Committee for Barclays Group Asia and the Global Investment Committee in London. Prior to joining Barclays, George was the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Gartmore Asia, and before that head of Korean operations for Indosuez W.I. Carr Securities. He also worked in New York and Asia for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company (now part of JP Morgan) as an international banking officer.

George is a former governor of The CFA Institute. He also established the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts in 1992 and was its president for 8 years. He also set up the Hong Kong/China Chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association in 2002 and was its chairman for 5 years. He received the Thomas L. Hansberger Leadership in Global Investing Award for his contributions to the practice of global investment management. George holds an MBA in Finance and an MA in Asian Studies from the University of Washington in Seattle and is a CFA Charterholder.
 
Mr. David Lui
Mr. David Lui, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Communications Schroder Fund Management Co Ltd, joined Schroders in 1985 to manage unit trusts and institutional funds. He was appointed as director of Schroders Asia Limited in 1991 and Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Schroder Investment Management (Hong Kong) Limited in 2000.

He is currently a part-time member of Central Policy Unit of the Hong Kong SAR Government and member of Investment Committee of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Aids Foundation and Lord Wilson Trust. Mr. Lui had also served as the Council Member, as well as the member of the Listing Committee of HKEx. He was also the member of the Unit Trust Committee and Merger and Acquisition Panel of the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong.

Mr. Lui is a graduate of the London School of School of Economics and Political Science with a post graduate diploma from the same institution. He is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and Hong Kong Securities Institute. Mr. Lui has articles published on the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong Economic Journal, Hong Kong Economic Times, I-Money, HK ETNet and other media.
 
Mr. Richard K.C. Mak, CFA
Mr. Richard Mak, CFA, is the Managing Director and Head of Advisory Services - Asia of Pictet Wealth Management. He leads the active advisory team to provide advisory services and investment solutions on global capital markets to the high net-worth investors in Asia. Prior to joining Pictet Asia, Richard was the Head of Advisory at BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Asia since 2005. Richard was a senior investment advisor and portfolio manager at the JPMorgan Private Bank after managing Japanese equity investments for Lombard Odier Group and Skandia Asset Management from 1995 to 2003. Richard has also worked for Citibank Private Bank, Goldman Sachs & Co, and Nomura Securities.

Richard served as the President Council Representative for the Asia Pacific Region of the CFA Institute from 2004 to 2008. He was the President of the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts from 2002 to 2005. Richard has been a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute since 1993.
 
Mr. James A. Soutar, CFA
Mr. James Soutar, CFA, is the Director at PhoenixInvest Group (HK) Ltd. He was previously Executive Director of FrontPoint Management (HK) Limited and the portfolio manager of the FrontPoint Asia Pacific Fund. He was a co-founder of Phoenix Research Limited and a Managing Director of Lombard Odier (Asia) Limited. He has been appointed as a member of Hong Kong Exchanges’ Listing Committee since May 2007.He was the Chairman of the Advocacy Committee of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts and served on its board from January 1998 to January 2009.

Mr Soutar is a graduate of Tufts University, Boston and a CFA charterholder.
 
Professor S.F. Wong, CFA
Professor S.F. Wong has joined as Professor of Practice in Finance at the School of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Hong Kong since September 2013. He has over 35 years of working experience in banking and finance in major financial centers, including New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Toronto. Professor Wong was the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Securities & Investment Institute (HKSI) from April 2009 to October 2012. Before joining HKSI, he worked for DBS Bank in Singapore as Managing Director for eight years, where his business responsibilities included Advisory Sales, Equity Derivatives, Investment Products and Private Banking. He also served on the Boards of DBS Asset Management and DBS Vickers Securities. From 1998 to 2000, he was a Senior Executive Director of the Market Services Group of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK), overseeing the Information Technology & Trading, the Stock Options Exchange and Information Services. He also held various senior positions in JP Morgan, Citibank, Credit Suisse Financial Products (a subsidiary of Credit Suisse First Boston) and Toronto Dominion Bank. He taught undergraduate and MBA courses in Finance at the University of Hong Kong in the mid-1980s.

In addition to teaching investment and finance courses at the University of Hong Kong, Professor Wong is interested in the talent development of the local financial service industry. He has been involved in several industry-wide human resources related initiatives. Professor Wong was a non-official member of the Human Capital Committee of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) of the Hong Kong SAR Government from April 2013 to April 2015. He was a member of the Advisory Committee on Human Resources Development in the Financial Services Sector (FinMan Committee) of the Financial Services and Treasury Bureau (FSTB) of the Hong Kong SAR Government from 2009 to 2012. He is currently a member of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) Steering Committee of HKSI and a co-opted member of the Insurance Agent Registration Board (IARB) of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI).

Professor Wong received his MBA (Finance) degree from the University of Chicago and BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He has been a CFA charterholder since 1989 and obtained the Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM) designation in 2012. He is a Fellow of the HKSI (FHKSI) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (FHKIoD).
