In response to global COVID-19 concerns, numerous challenges and uncertainty have come out for CFA Program candidates and exam adminstrators. CFA Institute has made some changes to turn these challenges into positive opportunities.
CFA Institute is modernizing the exam to computer-based testing (CBT) format and makes the exam more accessible and convenient for candidates around the globe. With respect for the candidate experience, all levels of the CFA exam will shift from paper-based (PBT) to computer-based testing (CBT) starting in 2021. With the move to CBT next year for all levels, the December 2020 administration will be the final PBT for any CFA exam.
As the local society of CFA Institute in Hong Kong, we are pleased to share the updates on this important transition and will continue to provide full support to our candidates. We also understand you may concern the upcoming exam arrangement with regards to COVID-19, and what will be your options. Please find more information below.
