[Webinar] The Future of Asian Frontier Markets

Events Details (Code: 201006LU-CEX)

The COVID-19 pandemic has hurt markets and economies globally including Asian frontier markets. However, the pandemic could accelerate certain structural shifts in the global economy like supply chain changes which could benefit certain Asian frontier markets. Furthermore, certain countries like Sri Lanka and Vietnam have done much better than peers in managing the pandemic and this will help them recover faster than their regional counterparts while also providing confidence to future investors.
Asian frontier markets have very attractive demographics and this large young population will be a big advantage in recovering from the pandemic which should lead to higher GDP growth rates from 2021 onwards. More importantly, valuations for Asian frontier markets are at a decade low and still remain under-researched which allows investors to take a long term view on these markets. Asian frontier markets also continue to offer uncorrelated returns relative to developed markets which is ideal for asset diversification.
