Code and Standards and Conflict of Interest

A volunteer of the HKSFA Function(s) must have high ethical standards that meet the Code and Standards of HKSFA and has discretion with the ability to maintain confidential information.  HKSFA events are professional gatherings and therefore appropriate behaviours are expected.

It is expected that the volunteer of the HKSFA Function(s) shall make contribution to it so as to help achieve the goals and objectives of the HKSFA Function(s) for the best interest of HKSFA members, CFA candidates, the investment community and the investing public.  The volunteer of the HKSFA Function(s) shall exercise good judgement in their dealings with other volunteers, stakeholders, employees, suppliers and the general public and shall respond to constituents and the needs of the HKSFA’s members in a responsible, respectful and professional manner. 

 

A volunteer of the HKSFA Function(s) shall disclose any conflicts of interest to the Chair(s) of the relevant HKSFA Function(s) and the HKSFA President.  They shall not request special or personal favours or extensive information from other volunteers, members, stakeholders, or employees, without the prior consultation and agreement of the Chair(s) of the HKSFA Function(s) and the HKSFA President who will bring it to the attention of the HKSFA Board.
